Vadim <br> Shvedchikov — Middle East Classical Music Academy

Principal horn of the Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra,  Vadim Shvedchikov is an international artist and  soloist.

Prior to coming to Kaliningrad, Vadim has  served as a Principal horn with different orchestras  worldwide including Shanghai Opera House and  Guiyang Symphony Orchestra, where he received a  ‘Musician of the Year’ award only a year after  joining it.

As a Guest Principal horn Vadim has  performed with some of the leading orchestras  including Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Nuremberg  Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Symphony  Orchestra, Serbian Radio Symphony, Suzhou  Symphony Orchestra and Qingdao Symphony Orchestra. He has worked with a number of world’s renowned  conductors such as Franz Welser-Möst, Neeme Jarvi, Andrew Litton, Gabor Takacs-Nagy, Robert Spano, Eiji  Oue, Daniel Oren, Mark Wigglesworth, Tito Munoz and many others. 

Vadim is a Boston University Scholar under the studio of an internationally renowned horn virtuoso  Prof. Eric Ruske. Prior to his Masters degree he completed his Honours Bachelor of Music degree on full  scholarship at National University of Singapore where he studied under Han Chang Chou (Tianjin Juilliard  School) and Jamie Hersch (Associate Principal horns of Singapore Symphony Orchestra).  

Vadim has participated in numerous performances with different ensembles including Metropolitan  Festival Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, Boston Brass, Australian Brass,  Imani Winds and many more.
